Overview

This website is operated by Donato Architecture & Development Studio, an architectural practice based in San Francisco. We collect only what helps us respond to your inquiries and improve the website.

This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who (if anyone) we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to the public website at donatoarchitecturestudio.com only, not to separate project engagement terms.

P.02

What we collect

We collect two categories of information from this site:

  • Information you give us (through our inquiry form) Your name, phone, and email; the property address and property type; project details including an estimated construction budget and the scope you describe; whether you have done construction projects before, and what they were; how you heard about us; and anything else you write. The same inquiry form appears on our Contact page and our Services page.
  • Information collected automatically (for analytics) When you visit the site, our analytics tools may collect data that does not directly identify you to us: pages viewed, time on page, referring site, approximate location (city/region from IP), device type, and browser.

We do not collect Social Security numbers, payment information, government IDs, or any sensitive personal information through this website.

We use reasonable measures to protect the information we collect, but no website, email system, hosting platform, or internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

P.03

How we use information

We use the information collected for these purposes:

  • To respond to your inquiry Your form submission is reviewed by Patrick Donato and Arlene Pineda directly, and we contact you using the email or phone you provided.
  • To keep records of inquiries We keep inquiry submissions as long as they're useful for the related project, follow-up, and ordinary business records, and longer where the law requires. Analytics data is retained according to our provider's settings.

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, automated decision-making, or any purpose beyond responding to you and operating the site.

P.04

Who we share with

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the service providers that help operate the website, and only as needed for them to provide that service:

  • Netlify Hosts this website and processes inquiry form submissions. Form data passes through Netlify's infrastructure on its way to us. See Netlify's privacy policy.
  • Google Analytics (Google LLC) Processes usage data on our behalf. See Google's privacy policy.
  • Email service provider Receives the email notification when a form is submitted, so we can read and reply to your inquiry. The same email service that handles any direct email you send us.

Each provider's own privacy policy governs the data it holds. We may disclose information if required by law or needed to protect the studio's legal rights. We will not share inquiry contents with marketers, third-party agencies, or any party unrelated to operating the site.

P.05

Cookies & analytics

This site uses analytics cookies (small text files saved by your browser) to understand how visitors use it.

  • Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) Help us understand how the site is used in aggregate. You can opt out by using browser extensions such as the Google Analytics Opt-Out.

You can clear cookies at any time from your browser's privacy settings.

Consent, Do Not Track, and Global Privacy Control. Analytics on this site is opt-in: no analytics cookies are set and no analytics data is collected unless you choose OK on the cookie notice, and if you do not, analytics stays off. Some browsers can send Do Not Track (DNT) or Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. This site does not currently read those signals, so they do not change how it behaves. In practice, a visitor whose browser sends DNT or GPC and who does not accept the cookie notice is not tracked, because analytics never starts without that consent.

P.06
